Itinerary

  • Upon arrival at Bagdogra (IXB) Airport or New Jalpaiguri (NJP), our representative will greet you and drive you to Gangtok. 

  • On the way, quickly stop at the Triveni View Point to witness the confluence of the Teesta and Rangeet rivers and enjoy the picturesque drive along the Teesta River. 

  • In the evening, you can explore MG Marg at your leisure before checking into your hotel for an overnight stay in Gangtok.

  • After breakfast, we'll embark on a full-day excursion around Gangtok, starting with a visit to the scenic Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake, famous for its changing colours. 

  • Next, we’ll head to Baba Mandir, which is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, an Indian Army soldier. 

  • If available, you’ll hire a taxi to visit Nathula Pass, an Indo-China border post (additional cost may apply). Afterwards, we’ll return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.

  • After breakfast, we’ll drive to Lachen (125 km / 6 hours), making a brief stop at Naga Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim. 

  • We’ll continue through Chungthang Village, where the Lachen and Lachung rivers converge, and take the left road to pass through the Kanchenjunga National Park en route to Lachen.

  • You’ll enjoy an overnight stay in Lachen.

  • After an early breakfast, we’ll head further north to visit Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in India. 

  • We'll pass through Thangu Village (13,450 ft), a remote Tibetan Nomad settlement. 

  • We'll spend time admiring the stunning lake views, named after Guru Padmasambhava. 

  • We’ll then drive to Lachung, where we'll stop for lunch.

  •  Upon arrival in the evening, check in to your hotel and spend the night in Lachung.

  • After breakfast, we’ll drive north from Lachung to visit the scenic Yumthang Valley, also known as "the Valley of Flowers" and "the Switzerland of the Northeast.

  •  We’ll explore the Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary within the valley, and if desired, you can visit the optional Zero Point, the last outpost of civilisation.

  •  After sightseeing, we’ll begin our drive back to Gangtok, where you’ll check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP).

The ideal time to visit Gangtok and Darjeeling is from March to June and September to December. These months offer clear skies, pleasant weather, and stunning views of the Himalayas. For snow lovers, December to February is perfect for witnessing snowfall in higher regions like Nathula Pass.

A visit to Nathula Pass is optional and can be arranged on the spot depending on permit availability and weather conditions. Extra charges apply. It's a must-visit for travellers who want to experience the Indo-China border and high-altitude adventure.

Yes, inner line permits are required to visit Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass. Our team handles all necessary documentation in advance. You will need to provide valid ID proofs and passport-sized photographs for permit processing.

The distance between Gangtok and Darjeeling is around 100 km and takes approximately 4–5 hours by road, depending on weather and traffic conditions. The route offers scenic views of tea gardens and mountain landscapes.

The Darjeeling Toy Train ride is a popular experience and can be arranged upon request. It’s advisable to book this in advance, as tickets are limited and in high demand.

Depending on the season, pack warm woollens or light jackets, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and personal medication. During winter, thermal wear, gloves, and caps are recommended.

Visits to Zero Point (from Lachung) and Gurudongmar Lake (from Lachen) are optional and subject to weather, road conditions, and permit availability. These excursions may incur additional charges.


Gurudongmar Lake is located at an altitude of over 17,000 ft, which may not be suitable for people with respiratory issues or senior citizens. Consult your doctor before planning and always acclimatise well.

Mobile connectivity is very limited in North Sikkim. BSNL and Jio may work in some areas, but do not rely on mobile data. Inform family and friends beforehand about low connectivity.

Roads to Lachen and Lachung are narrow, winding, and prone to landslides, especially during the monsoon. However, they are generally well-maintained during the tourist seasons. We use 4x4 or experienced drivers for safety and comfort.
