Itinerary

  • Your journey from Delhi will start at night, travelling by a Volvo bus or a cab.

  • After a scenic 7 to 8-hour drive through the picturesque valleys of Himachal Pradesh, you will arrive in Shimla the next day.

Overnight: Journey by Volvo Bus or Cab

  • After arriving in Shimla, continue your drive towards Sangla, passing through the scenic towns of Rampur and Karcham along the way.

  • By evening, you’ll check in to your hotel, and later visit Chitkul – the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border.

Night: Stay at Homestay/Hotel in Sangla/Chitkul

  • After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you’ll set off for Tabo. 

  • On the way, you’ll halt at Nako Village for lunch (at your own expense), followed by a visit to Nako Lake and, if time allows, Gompa Monastery. 

  • By evening, you’ll continue your drive to Tabo, where you’ll spend the night.

Night: Stay at Homestay in Tabo

  • After breakfast, you will visit Tabo Monastery and Tabo Caves.

  • Later, you’ll head towards Kaza, visiting Dhankar Monastery, Pin Valley, and the scenic Lingti Waterfall along the way.

  • Reach Kaza by evening and settle in for the night at your hotel or cosy homestay.

  • After breakfast, visit Langza to see the famous Buddha statue overlooking the scenic valley.

  • Head to Komic, one of the highest and most remote villages in the world.

  • Continue to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office.

  • Start your morning with a visit to the iconic Key Monastery, the most prominent and expansive monastery in the Spiti region.

  • Continue onwards to Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia, known for its breathtaking views of the deep canyon it spans.

  • Later, drive towards Tabo and explore the Tabo Monastery, known for its ancient murals, sculptures, and artefacts that date back over a thousand years.

Night: Overnight  stay at the hotel 

  • Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to Kalpa, a picturesque village in Kinnaur known for its spectacular views of the Kinnaur Kailash range.

  • In the evening, visit the striking Suicide Point, renowned for its cliffs and breathtaking panoramas.

  • Wrap up the day at the local market in Reckong Peo, where you can shop for souvenirs or simply enjoy a relaxed stroll.

Night: Stay at the Hotel in Kalpa

  • Wake up to the stunning views of Kalpa Valley.

  • After enjoying your morning tea and breakfast, begin your drive back to Shimla.

  • Reach Shimla by late evening, from where you can either board your bus to Delhi.

  • Arrive in Delhi early in the morning, marking the end of your unforgettable journey through the cold desert of Spiti Valley.
