• In case of unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or emergencies, the tour may be postponed or cancelled.

• In such situations, guests will have the option to reschedule their trip to a future date; however, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

If a guest initiates cancellation voluntarily, the refund will be processed as per the following schedule:

• Cancellations made 30 days or more before the trip are eligible for a 90% refund of the total package cost.

• For cancellations made between 21 and 30 days before the trip, 75% of the total package cost will be refunded.

• Cancellations made between 11 and 20 days before the departure date will receive a 50% refund of the total package cost.

• No Refund: Less than 10 days.

• Bookings cancelled within 10 days of the trip start date are non-refundable.

Note: The details provided in the itinerary are for reference only and may be updated or modified without prior notice depending on operational requirements, weather conditions, or safety concerns.

• Always keep a government-issued ID, such as an Aadhaar card, passport, or driving license, handy. These are mandatory for hotel check-ins and at security checkpoints during your Kaziranga package.

• The weather in the hills can be unpredictable. Carry warm clothes, a raincoat, and quick-dry clothing. Nights can get chilly, especially in places like Shnongpdeng and Cherrapunjee, which are often included in many Kaziranga package itineraries.

• If your Kaziranga package includes treks like the Double Decker Root Bridge, pack sturdy trekking shoes or good-quality sneakers for a safe hike.

• Electricity might be limited at remote stays or camps. Carry a power bank and charging cables to keep your devices running throughout the Kaziranga package.

• Jio and Airtel perform best in most areas, but please note that seamless connectivity is not guaranteed everywhere. Some remote regions have patchy signals.

• ATMs are scarce once you leave Shillong. Always carry enough cash for minor expenses during your Kaziranga package, especially for places like Shnongpdeng and Cherrapunji, where digital payments may not be accepted.

• Sunscreen, sunglasses, personal medicines, a refillable water bottle, a small torch, and basic toiletries should be on your packing list.

• Avoid bulky luggage. A backpack and a small daypack are best for easier travel, especially if your Kaziranga package includes treks or local walks.

• Some walks and treks included in the Kaziranga package, like the Double Decker trek, require a moderate level of fitness. Prepare accordingly.

• Always be polite to locals, avoid littering, and ask for permission before clicking photos of people.

• Camps here are scenic but basic. Carry insect repellent and warm layers to stay comfortable at night.

• Hill travel means starting the day early to avoid traffic and comfortably cover all sightseeing points.

• Drinking in public places is not permitted and may result in fines in certain regions covered under the Kaziranga package.

• Save the local emergency numbers and keep your driver’s or trip leader’s contact details written down on paper.

• Always keep a 2–3 hour buffer before your return flight or train from Guwahati. Unexpected delays due to weather or road conditions are common.

• The Kaziranga package itinerary is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as roadblocks, landslides, or strikes. The company reserves the right to modify plans to ensure the safety of all personnel.

• If you skip any activities or if weather conditions cause cancellations, no refund or compensation will be provided for unused services in the Kaziranga package.

• Hotels, transport vehicles, or trip leaders may be changed due to operational needs without prior notice.

• Travel and medical insurance are not included in the Kaziranga package. It is highly recommended that you purchase a policy that covers medical emergencies, cancellations, or baggage loss.

• Each participant is responsible for keeping their personal belongings safe during the trip.

• Vehicle type depends on group size. You may travel in an SUV, Tempo Traveller, or bus, depending on the number of participants in your Kaziranga package.

• Stay options include hotels, homestays, or campsites, generally on double or triple sharing as per the Kaziranga package details.

• Rooms are assigned by the trip leader. Special requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

• Only breakfast is included in the Kaziranga package, except on Day 4. The reason is that food in this region is unique, and most travellers prefer to choose dishes according to their tastes by ordering directly from the menu.

• Wear comfortable clothes in neutral colours (green, brown, grey) to blend with the forest environment. Avoid bright colours during the Kaziranga Safari.

• You are welcome to carry cameras and binoculars. Please note that professional cameras may incur additional charges as per Forest Department regulations.

• Follow Safety Instructions: Do not exit the jeep at any point within the park. Follow the guide’s and forest officials’ instructions at all times.

• One-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, swamp deer, wild buffaloes, and, if you are lucky, a tiger. Kaziranga is also home to over 500 species of birds.

• Please carry any personal medication you may require, as medical assistance is not available within the safari zones.

• Please do not throw plastic or waste inside the park. Help us keep Kaziranga clean and eco-friendly.

• All itineraries are tentative and meant to provide a general outline of the journey. Exact plans may change depending on real-time situations.

• Itinerary changes may occur before or during the trip due to weather conditions, road closures, health emergencies, or other unforeseen events.

• Wander Yak reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any part of the trip for safety, comfort, or logistical reasons.

• Situations that may require route or plan changes include: Landslides, floods, or heavy snowfall, Road closures, diversions, or poor road conditions, Vehicle breakdowns or delays, Flight cancellations or delays, Health emergencies or accidents, Strikes, political unrest, or protests, Government travel restrictions or revoked permits, or any other force majeure events.

• Full payment must be completed before the trip starts. No guest will be allowed to join the trip if the payment is pending at the time of departure.

• If a participant leaves the trip midway, skips activities, or cancels during the journey, no refund will be provided for the unused portion.

• Last-minute changes requested after the trip has begun may result in additional charges or penalties, depending on the circumstances.

• All travel, accommodation, and adventure activities are undertaken at the participant's own risk.

• Travel insurance is not included in the package. Guests are strongly advised to purchase a personal travel insurance policy that covers: trip cancellations, Medical emergencies, Accidents and injuries, Loss of baggage or personal belongings.

• In the event that a section of the planned route becomes unsafe or inaccessible, the Wander Yak team will select the best alternative option, prioritising your safety and comfort. Any additional costs arising from changes in route, detours, extended stays, or extra transport will be borne by the traveller.
