Hanle is one of Ladakh's most remote and enchanting villages, located near the Indo-China border at about 14,700 ft. Best Time to Visit Hanle

The best time to visit Hanle is from May to September, when the roads from Leh are open and the weather is pleasant.

  • May to June: Clear skies, perfect for stargazing and photography.

  • July to September: Comfortable temperature and ideal for exploring nearby lakes like Tso Moriri and Kyagar Tso.

  • Winter (October to April): The region is extremely cold, with temperatures dropping below -20 °C. Due to heavy snowfall, the region remains isolated. Only experienced travellers should attempt winter visits.
